Velneshwar: A Beach Without Rocks

Velneshwar is a beach situated on the Ratnagiri District and based on the Shastri River. It is in the Konkan region. It is reputed rock free beach surrounded by coconut palms. As we know that the beach is rock free swimming and other water sports possible to play here. 
There is an old temple of Shiva which is frequently visited by tourists and pilgrims. It is one of the quietest and perfect beaches in the entire Konkan stretch with popular terminus like Guhagar and Ganpatipule closest it on other side of Velneshwar. 
Velneshwar  is the beach for swimming lovers or relaxing. This is the beach where you are safe more than other beaches. Velneshwar is focus attention once in year when lord Shiva or God Shankar’s Mahashivratri fair is held there.   • Shiva Temple: Near the Velneshwar beach there is a shiva temple, its new attraction by tourists. You definitely visit that temple.

  • Guhagar Beach: It is the popular, cleanest and less polluted beaches in Maharashtra. It is about 26 km away from the Velneshwar.

  • Hedvi: Hedvi is popular temple with the Shree DashaBhuj Laxmi Ganesh temple is just 5kms ahead of Velneshwar.

By Air: Pune and Mumbai is the nearest airline, Mumbai to Velneshwar Distance 300 kms. Pune to Velneshwar Distance 290 kms.
By Rail: Nearest Railway station is in Chiplun. Chiplun to Velneshwar Distance 55 kms.
By Road: Well Government arranged busses are there for reach Velneshwar.
People travelling from Mumbai can reach by travelling to Panvel – Pen – Mahad – Khed – Chiplun – Velneshwar. ( Mumbai to Velneshwar Distance: 300 kms.)
