Shriwardhan Harihareshwar Beach

Shriwardhan Harihareshwar is the popular beach as well as temple in Maharashtra. The beach is in the Konkan area. Shriwardhan is a taluka place and it is in Raigad district of Konkan (South Kashi).This is straight beach and is about 2.4 km. 
Four hills covers Shriwardhan Harihareshwar namely Harihareshwar, Harshinachal, Bramhadri and Pushpadri that is the reason it is popular beach. It has historical importance because was being visited by Arjuna Pandav in his pilgrimage. Beach lovers must visit this beach, because the gentle winds, soft sands and inviting waters make it bay irresistible to beach lovers. Adventures can take boat to the north side of the land where the Peshwas of the Maratha kingdom resided. The “Peshwas Smarak” is the interest of people who visit Shriwardhan. This beauty beach is also landmark of Kalbhairav – shiva temple.

  • Harihareshwar Temple: This is the temple of Lord Harihareshwar and it is said that it have been blessed by Lord Shiva, So referred as “Dev-ghar” that is “House of God”. It is covered by 4 hills.
  • Diveagar: It is also a beach and natural quieter place for beach lovers.

 How to Reach:

By Air: The nearest airport is in Mumbai that is 215 km from Shriwardhan.

By Rail: Nearest railhead is in Mangaon, which is 45 km away from Shriwardhan and this station linked to Pune-Mumbai.
By Road: Shriwardhan-Harihareshwar (20 km) is well connected to neighbouring cities by government buses. Mumbai- Shriwardhan 185 km, Pune- Shriwardhan 163 km, Panvel- Shriwardhan 125 km.
