Malshej Ghat Hill Station

Malshej Ghat is the mountain which is locates in the Western Ghat range. This hill station locates at the height of 700 m from the sea level. Apart from the various hillstatonos in Maharashtra this is most developing hill station. This is situated on the border of the Pune, Thane & Ahmednagar districts.
 During monsoon Malshej Ghat getting the amazing look. This mountain is the home of various kinds of plants and animals. This hill station has the special value for hikers, trekkers and adventure lovers. Also it is famous for its several lakes, cascading waterfalls and attractive waterfalls.

Tourist Attraction:
Shivaneri Fort: This is the one of the important fort in Maharashtra. This fort have the historical value because this is the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja.
Harishchandragad (Harishchandra Fort): This is the fort is Ahmednagar district. The history of the fort is linked with that of Malshej Ghat. To protect & control the surrounding region this fort plays important role.
Pimpalgaon Joga Dam: this dam is built on the Pushpavati river in Malshej Ghat. The backwater of the dam gives spectacular scenery.
Malshej Waterfalls: This hill station is the full of waterfalls during the monsoon these waterfall flows with full capacity. Some of them are really too big. These falls are major attraction at Malshej.

How to Reach:
By Air: Nearest airport from this hill station is at Mumbai.
By Rail: Kalyan is the nearest railway station from Malshej.
By Road: There is the regular state bus service to Malshej from the nearest cities like Mumbai (154 km), Pune (164 km) & Alephata (39 km).
